Trunk or Treat

Trunk-or-Treat is an event where trick-or-treating is done from car to car in the parking lot.  It allows us to provide a safe and secure event for our students. Instead of going house-to-house, kids go car to car.  Trunks are opened and decorated with all sorts of fun themes.  At each car, volunteers hand out candy to the children. A chance for all kids and adults to dress up and have FUN!

Please bring 2 bags of individually wrapped candy to school and give them to your teacher. 

The House that collects the most will receive an ice cream party.  The candy bags will be weighed and applied to your House Total.  

The last day of the competition is Friday, October 27 at 2 pm. 

Trunk-or-Treat es un evento en el que el truco o trato se realiza de un automóvil a otro en el estacionamiento. Nos permite ofrecer un evento seguro para nuestros estudiantes. En lugar de ir de casa en casa, los niños van de automóvil en automóvil. Los automóviles se decoran con todo tipo de temas divertidos. En cada automóvil, los voluntarios reparten dulces a los niños. ¡Esta es una oportunidad para que todos los niños y adultos se disfracen y se diviertan!

Por favor traiga 2 bolsas de dulces envueltos individualmente a la escuela y entréguelos a su maestro. 

La Casa que recolecte más dulces recibirá una fiesta de helado. Las bolsas de dulces se pesarán y se aplicarán al total de cada casa. 

El último día de la competencia es el viernes 27 de octubre a las 2 pm.

We need your help to make the Trunk or Treat another great event.  Please sign up to decorate your vehicle and hand out treats.  Bring your imagination and get creative. This is a great event for the friends, neighbors, and families of DeZavala. 

Participants should plan to arrive at 5:00 PM to decorate their cars. We will provide participants with candy to hand out.  

Necesitamos su ayuda para hacer que el Trunk or Treat sea otro gran evento. Regístrese para decorar su vehículo y entregar dulces. Trae tu imaginación y sé creativo.  Este es un gran evento para nuestros amigos, vecinos y las familias de DeZavala.

Los participantes deben planear llegar a las 5:00 PM para decorar sus autos.  Proporcionaremos a los participantes dulces para repartir.

Day of the Dead is a special celebration that focuses on life, love, and family.

Traditionally, family and friends gather to joyfully remember their loved ones who have passed.

The festivities are splashed with color. Dancers and participants are often decked in costumes of bright fabric. Face painting is also popular. It is likely that you will see many skeletons and skulls as you pass revelers in the street.

Each child needs a photo of someone dear to them that has passed away. This can be a grandparent, a family friend, or anyone who was special to you. Please bring the photo with a picture frame so that it can be displayed and don't forget to write your child’s name and grade for a safe return.

El Día de Muertos es una celebración especial que se enfoca en la vida, el amor y la familia.

Tradicionalmente, la familia y los amigos se reúnen para recordar con alegría a sus seres queridos que han fallecido.

Las fiestas se salpican de color. Los bailarines y los participantes a menudo se visten con trajes de tela brillante. La pintura facial también es popular. Es probable que veas muchos esqueletos y calaveras cuando pases juerguistas en la calle.

Cada estudiante necesita una foto de alguien querido que haya fallecido. Puede ser un abuelo, un amigo de la familia o cualquier persona que haya sido especial para ti. Por favor traiga la foto con un marco para que se pueda mostrar y no olvide de escribir el nombre y el grado de su hijo/a para se le devuelva de forma segura.
