We’re so excited to welcome you and your child to Lorenzo de Zavala Elementary! Kindergarten is a big milestone, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. This page is your go-to spot for important updates, helpful resources, and ways to get involved in your child’s first year at De Zavala. Whether it’s your first time joining our school or you’re returning with another little one, we’re so glad to have you as part of our community.
¡Nos emociona mucho darles la bienvenida a usted y a su hijo/a a la Escuela Primaria Lorenzo de Zavala! El kínder es un paso importante, y estamos aquí para apoyarlos en cada paso. We are excited to announce that our Kindergarten students will be going on a field trip to The Crayola Experience on Friday, December 5! This will be a wonderful opportunity for students to explore creativity, imagination, and hands-on learning.
Important Details
• ID Badge: Students must bring their school ID badge. If your child needs a replacement, please contact their teacher.
• Lunch: Please ensure your child brings a sack lunch for this trip.

Nos complace anunciar que nuestros alumnos de kínder irán de excursión a The Crayola Experience el viernes 5 de diciembre. Esta será una oportunidad maravillosa para que exploren la creatividad, la imaginación y el aprendizaje práctico.
Detalles importantes
• Credencial: Los estudiantes deben traer su credencial escolar. Si su hijo/a necesita una nueva, por favor, contacte a su maestro/a.
• Almuerzo: Asegúrese de que su hijo/a traiga su propio almuerzo para esta excursión.
If you’d like to join us as a chaperone, please make sure you’ve completed the background check on the GPISD website, signed up for the Zavala PTA, and let your child’s teacher know you’re interested.
Chaperones are not allowed on the bus and must go in their own vehicle.
